EK had the Cardinals in the bonus early in the quarter and White used the charity stripe for more Cardinal points. James John- son took a pass from White and put it up and in tbr Ellendale however the Rebels had a 35-24 lead at the half way break. The combination of Tschosik to Johnson started the second half scoring. Chase Durheim hit a couple free throws and White hit a bucket from inside. Add a free throw and the Cardinals trailed 54- 33 after three quarters, The Cardinals managed only six points in the final quarter as TJ Belmore had a couple buckets for the Cardinals. The Rebels of Edgeley-Kulm defeated Ellendale 69-39 and Central Prairie defeated the Cardinals 62 to 35 E-K 69 Ellendale 39 The Cardinals, the #7 seed had to take on the #2 seed, Edgeley-Kuhn Rebels• The Rebels had a ten point lead after the first quarter, 21-11. Adam White took a pass from Alex Tschosik and put it up and in Ior the first Ellendale points. James John- ston nailed a couple free throw's and Matthew Martin used the glass for two more Cardinal points. White had a rebound and bucket to end the quarter. White had a big second quarter taking feeds from Tschosik. Mar- tin, Johnson and Jacob Enge and Durheim with 2 and Alex Tschosik with .1. The Firebirds came outof the gat : hitting their first seven shots to take [a quick lead and had a !7-8 lead at- ter the first quarter. : James Johnston got the Cardinals on the board with a bucket inside and Adam White hit a couple tree throws, Alex Tschosik dished off to Johnston for a bucket at the end of the first quarter. Matthew Martin scored from in- side and Tschosik took a pass from Johnston and put it up and in for two more. White scored from in- side but the Firebirds had a 29-15 lead at the half, Johnston started the Cardinal scoring in the second half. Martin took the defensive rebound and went coast-to-coast for the bucket. He was fouled and nailed the free throw for a nice 3-point play. Johnston moved inside for an- other bucket but the Firebirds had a 43-22 lead after three. White hit two from the char- ity stripe, and then made a quick move to the basket for two more. Johnston was fouled on his way to the bucket and he buried both free throws. Tschosik hit a short jumper and then hit a bucket from a little far- ther out from the left wing and White had two more from the free throw line as the Firebirds went on to the victory ending the Cardinals' season. James Johnston and Adam White led the Cardinals with 11 points each followed by Alex Tschosik and Matthew Martin with 6 points each Both the Cardinals and Firebirds collected 32 fouls with Adam White getting a double double night with , l I rebounds and his 11 points.
